2. Visiting this website

When you visit this website, technically necessary connection data is generated. This may include your IP address, the date and time, the page you visited, and information about your browser and device.

I need this data so the website can work, errors can be detected and attacks can be blocked. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Own infrastructure and logs

The website runs on my own technical infrastructure. Access and errors are logged. These logs may include an IP address, time stamp, requested content, status codes and technical error messages.

The logs are rotated automatically. Relevant data may be kept longer if a security incident needs to be investigated or a legal claim needs to be resolved.

4. Cloudflare

I use Cloudflare for DNS, encrypted transmission and protection of this website. Requests therefore first pass through Cloudflare's network before being forwarded to my server.

Cloudflare may process technical connection data such as IP addresses, requested addresses and security events. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cloudflare may also process data outside the European Economic Area. For transfers to the United States, Cloudflare refers to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where required, Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Session cookie

Grav currently sets a session cookie. Its name starts with „grav-site-“ and it contains a randomly generated identifier.

The cookie is not used for analytics, advertising or profiling. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

6. Protecting the email address

Cloudflare protects the email address published on this website from automated collection by bots. The address is technically modified and made readable again in the browser.

This feature is used to reduce spam. It is not used for analytics or advertising.

7. Contact and contact form

If you use the contact form, your first name, last name, email address and message are sent to the server. The message is then forwarded to [email protected].

I use this information to deal with your request. For contractual matters, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The form data is not additionally archived on the web server. Messages remain in the email service only for as long as they are needed to deal with the request or to meet legal obligations.

8. Email service

I use Apple's iCloud Mail for [email protected]. Apple processes the data needed to transmit, deliver and store a message.

Apple may also process data internationally. For transfers from the European Economic Area, Apple refers to Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. External links

This website contains links to YouTube and Discord. Content from these providers is not loaded automatically.

A connection to the provider is only made when you click one of these links. The provider is responsible for any further processing.

10. No analytics or advertising

vonH23rz currently uses no services for analytics, tracking, marketing or advertising. YouTube or Discord content and external fonts are not loaded automatically either.

Technical processing required for operation and security is not affected by this.

11. Recipients

Personal data is only shared with parties that need it for the relevant purpose. This mainly includes Cloudflare for operation and security and Apple for email communication.

I do not sell personal data or share it for my own advertising purposes.

12. Retention

Personal data is kept only for as long as it is needed for its purpose.

Legal obligations, security reasons or legal claims may require data to be kept for longer.

13. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection.

If processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time for the future. For questions or to exercise your rights, you can contact [email protected].

14. Right to object

If I process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object for reasons arising from your particular situation.

I will then stop processing the data unless there are compelling legitimate reasons to continue or the data is needed for legal claims.

15. Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
